A life style blog about having 28 days apart, then only 14 days together. The notorious long distance relationship and how I pass the time waiting for his 28 day work week to end and his proverbial friday to bring him home. This is me passing the time as a women in a serious relationship, whos other half is 2,000 kilometers away for 2/3's of the time.
My favourite accessory thus far this Spring has been my black fedora style hat. Its floppy but not too big and I love the way it accents the black buttons on my grey coat.
I got it from Blue Notes at 40% off so after tax it came to about 8 dollars. It was a great steal! But I see them everywhere, I was going to get a hazy blue one that had reddish accenting around the base but it was too big for me. Luckily I found this one though!
So one of the very, very, few upsides to Mr,.F working far away for 28 days at a time is that I do get a lot of free time to spend with my friends. Having that 4 week period that I can’t hang out with him at all and can hang out with my friends as much as I want is actually good for me because in past relationships I tend to spend all time possible with him and then we both ended up isolating ourselves from our friends in the end. However balancing the phone calls when he’s gone, and the struggle of hanging out with friends, his and mine, when he is home is a post for another day. This one is mainly about how even though it sucks big time that he’s gone, there still is light in the dark, sometimes very lonely, tunnel. This post is also about all the cute animals I saw yesterday went I went to the by donation zoo in Peterborough, Ontario. It was great, we each dropped 5 bucks in the donation box and took a tour of the park.
The bobcat was cute, and my brave friend grabbed a stick and got him to come over to the fence and play with us. I felt bad leaving him because he’s the only one in the park that is by himself… And it kinda reminded me of when I have a bunch of friends come over to the apartment when Mr. F is gone and when they all leave and I’m just kinda sitting there like…. What now?
But after that downer the cute little squirrel monkeys cheered me up!
The whole time we were looking at the monkeys we could hear this god awful ratchet coming from inside their little hut then finally out walks these 2 playas. They were cute every time we would walk away they would start freaking out and then when we would come over they would just turn their backs to us or just tilt back and forth on their peg lol.
This big guy didn’t want anything more than to break through this fence lol.
These friggen things were creepy, but surprisingly they photograph pretty well. In reality they look like raptors from Jurassic Park but in the picture it looks kinda cute. It is not.
All I have to say about this guy is… I want to see your peacock peacock peacockcockcockcock…..because for all the female peacock simulation in the world we could not get him to show his feathers.
The best of them all was the otters. They were cute, one was playful the other one was being a lil bish and hissing at her boyfriend. I’ll get more into it in a post when I’m ticked at Mr. F. But this is a picture of the nice otter, probably thinking “Is this how you wanted our Wednesday to go Sheryl?” lol
And to finish off the beautiful day post here is a shot from the look out spot! Happy blogging!
A sometimes comedic twist on the dating adventures of a girl in her 20's living in a major city and likes to travel. There is zero censorship in this blog and I discuss everything from online dating to exploring sexuality.
